Matt Sneddon's comprehensive background in vibro-acoustics ranges from data analysis to algorithm and software development to measurement, modeling and simulation. A versatile manager able to mentor technical staff as well as working hands-on in direct technical roles, he has directed or worked on over 200 projects in a 23 yr. career. Much of his work has been interdisciplinary in nature, with projects that scale from small consultations to large multi-year, multi-vendor R&D initiatives. The projects that Matt has worked on at ATS include developing equipment and procedures for borehole vibration propagation tests, analyzing the relationship between rail roughness and wayside noise levels, improving MATLAB procedures that ATS uses to analyze noise and vibration data, and assessing the potential for vibration to damage underground storage tanks.
